Heavy Police Presence in Chandler Neighborhood

SWAT Teams, heavily armed police and firefighters were present in the Anderson Springs neighborhood between Anderson Elementary School and NXP.

Law enforcement and fire department staff on the scene were silent about the reason for the heavy presence. SWAT teams appeared to have entered a private residence on Corona Drive in the Anderson Springs neighborhood, in between NXP Semiconductors and Anderson Elementary School. A woman is said to have been taken into custody.

The authorities had been present in the area since at least Tuesday, 10 September 2024, around 11am. Pennington and Corona were closed off in the vicinity. These roads were re-opened around 5pm. It appears that the law enforcement effort was related to a burglary.
