Being denied Secret Service Protection by the Biden-Harris admin as well as being dragged by the left over his independent bid probably contributed to the decision.

RFK Jr., the former Democrat turned Independent, is suspending his campaign. He had already had his name removed from the ballot in Arizona a few days prior. In a blow to the Chinese Communist Party CCP style-communist Kamala Harris, Kennedy Jr. is endorsing Donald Trump for President.
RFK Jr. is a far left individual, favoring the destruction of the second amendment and also favoring late term abortions. On a few issues however he has broken with the Democrat establishment that favors the current Chinese Communist Party dictatorship as a model for American government: you can have private property and become rich, but the party can and will put you and your family in jail or in a gas chamber if you criticize them.
Some of the issues on which RFK Jr. has broken with his former party (and rightly so) are vaccine mandates and government censorship of social media.
The endorsement will probably not move the needle in the race very much because RFK Jr. was an alternative for Democrats who couldn't vote for the radical Kamala Harris, as well as for Trump Derangement Syndrome suffering Republicans who, unlike Mesa Mayor John Giles, can't bring themselves to support Harris. But overall this likely helps Trump in the race, if only by perhaps one or two percentage points.
