Trump NOT Calling For Termination of Constitution

Poorly worded, Trump's Truth Social post says that rigged elections may lead to the termination of the constitution.

So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!

The post is poorly worded. It appears likely that what Trump means is that if you have rigged elections, that there is a danger that this can lead to the termination of the constitution, i.e. tyranny, because the actual winner of the election doesn't get into office, rather the loser is rigged in. It appears he did NOT want to say that rigged elections are a justification for the termination of the constitution in order to install him as President. Many media outlets reported it this way, but this appears to be misinformation.

The background of Trump's post are the so called twitter files, released by Elon Musk via independent journalist Matt Taibbi. Internal twitter documents indicate that twitter engaged in one-sided censorship of information, e.g. suppressing the New York Post story about the Hunter Biden laptop and corruption of the Biden family by Chinese and Ukrainian businesses interests. Many businesses in China are intermingled with the Chinese Communist Party. Most concerning is that it appears that censorship at twitter was called for by Democratic members of Congress. Ro Khanna - D, CA, raised concerns over this on grounds of the violation of the First Amendment, but was ignored. Government officials telling private companies to censor information would indeed be a clear violation of freedom of free speech.

Will Donald Trump be declared the winner of the 2020 election? No. 0% chance.

Is Biden corrupt? Yes. Is Harris incompetent? Yes. Do voters care? Sadly, many do not, especially when the other choice is Donald Trump.

Does relitigating 2020 help Trump's or the GOP's electoral prospects? No, it hurts them.

Were the 2020 elections rigged? There are always shenanigans with elections and 2020 appeared to have been particularly bad. Social media in particular censored information that was helpful to Trump and harmful to Biden. Election laws were broken in some places. Yet, voters generally cast their votes so that their chosen politician wins, and represents their interests. If a politician loses an election, and then complains about it for years after, how does this help voters? Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams denied their 2016 and 2018 losses respectively. Clinton never re-entered politics. Abram was beaten even more soundly by Brian Kemp in Georgia in 2022, than in their first face-off. Few people like a bad loser. Voters want solutions, not complaints.
